The Mighty Lemon Drops - World Without End

This band carry in their history eternal comparisons to Echo and the Bunnymen. Well, if you pick a review at random it's a certainty that the Echo name will show up somewhere in the first three lines! Some would even say that this album is like a missing piece in the Echo and the Bunnymen discography.  Either way, it's a great album. Enjoy it!

The Paradise Motel - Flight Paths

This is the second album of the Australian band 'The Paradise Motel". Their lyrical subject matter often veered towards the melancholy and macabre, which resulted in comparisons to Nick Cave and Mazzy Star. Sparse, hurtful, gentle, a whole host of contradictions, that's how this album sounds, though somehow a lot of the melodies in it says 'Ireland' to me, as they sound a lot like a melancholic celtic band. This album also includes a cover version of The Cars' Drive. If you like female singers with a gentle, yet melancholic voice, do no miss this one. Enjoy it!
