Happy birthday, Robert!

Godlike Genius

Thank you

For 30 years of beautiful music

"Sometimes you make me feel

Like I am living at the edge of the world

Like I am living at the edge of the world

'It's just the way I smile', you said"

Floating here like this with you
Underneath the stars
Alight for 13 billion years
The view is beautiful
And ours alone tonight
Underneath the stars

Spinning round and round with you
Watching shadows melt the light
Soft shining from our eyes
Into another space
Is ours alone tonight
Watching shadows melt

And the waves break
And the waves break

Whisper in my ear a wish
"We could drift away"
Held tight
Your voice inside my head
The kiss is infinite
And ours alone tonight
"We could drift away"

Flying here like this with you
Underneath the stars
Alight for 13 billion years
The view is beautiful
And ours alone tonight
Underneath the stars

And everything gone
And all still to come
As nothing to us
Together as one
In each others arms
So near and so far
Forever as now
Underneath the stars

As the waves break

The Cure - Live '98 Köln

Now this bootleg has completely taken me by surprise while listening to it! Robert sings the lyrics of 'Watching me fall' at the beginning of 'Untitled' (who would have thought?). 'Pictures of you' comes with additional lyrics and there are some unusual live versions. A must have! Enjoy it!

The Cure - Rio de Janeiro - 26.01.1996

A few notes about this post. This is not a rip of the album you can see the cover above, with the exception of the first two songs, 'want' and 'fascination street'. This is indeed a copy of the audio from my own VHS tape from this concert. I got the VHS tape transferred to a DVD and extracted the audio from it.  :) Aww well, don't expect to ever find a soundboard copy of this one as I know for a fact that doesn't exist. Either way, enjoy it! :)

Perfect setlist! And the best of it all... I was there!! :)
